The 2020 Ford Escape SEL stands out for its impressive standard equipment at its price point, offering AWD, a turbocharged EcoBoost engine, heated front seats, power liftgate, and advanced tech like SYNC 3 with SiriusXM-all included without the need to pay for costly add-ons.

Analytical buyers who compare spec sheets will appreciate how the Escape SEL bundles sought-after conveniences and safety tech into a single, well-equipped trim. Standard heated ActiveX sport contour seats, automatic climate control, and remote keyless entry cater to those who expect comfort and usability from day one. In climates like eastern Iowa, AWD and heated features add daily practicality for commuting and unpredictable weather, providing financial peace of mind by reducing the need for aftermarket upgrades.

The value-driven powertrain combines a responsive EcoBoost 2.0L I4 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD, delivering confident acceleration and control in a wide range of driving conditions. With EPA estimates of 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, the Escape balances performance with efficiency, saving on fuel costs over time. Maintenance demands are kept manageable thanks to modern engine design and proven Ford reliability, contributing to lower long-term ownership expenses compared to rivals that require premium fuel or frequent servicing.

Safety value is a strong suit of this SUV, as it comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist, which includes a rearview camera, auto high-beam headlights, traction control, ABS brakes, electronic stability control, and a full complement of airbags-including front, side, knee, and overhead positions. Unlike competitors who may reserve critical safety systems for higher trims or option packages, these features are included without upcharge, protecting both passengers and your budget.

Feature highlights in the SEL trim include heated ActiveX seats, a power liftgate for easy cargo loading, dual-zone automatic temperature control, 12-speaker audio, SiriusXM radio, and steering wheel-mounted controls for seamless connectivity. The Equipment Group 301A package is integrated here, translating to more technology and comfort as standard. Functional touches like speed-sensing steering, split folding rear seats, and remote keyless entry further enhance usability, making everyday routines smoother without the sticker shock of extra-cost options.

When evaluating value against rivals, the Escape SEL compares favorably to SUVs like the Honda CR-V EX and Toyota RAV4 XLE. While those competitors may charge extra for AWD, heated seats, or premium tech, the Escape SEL includes these features standard, reducing out-of-pocket surprises. The transferable 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty also adds a layer of long-term confidence that not all rivals match, making it a smart choice for budget-conscious buyers prioritizing total cost of ownership.

What's included as standard equipment? The Escape SEL comes with AWD, a turbocharged EcoBoost engine, heated front seats, SYNC 3 infotainment, SiriusXM, and Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist. Is this vehicle worth the price? Yes-the high level of standard features and warranty coverage offer excellent value. Which trim offers the best value? The SEL trim is the sweet spot, bundling nearly all desired amenities without stepping into luxury pricing.

To experience the best value in a compact SUV, visit Lynch Ford Chevrolet at 410 Business 30 Sw Mt Vernon, IA 52314 or call .
